Alabama Prerecorded Messages Compliance
Robocall and prerecorded message compliance rules in Alabama
Mini-TCPA State — Ala. Code § 8-19C-1 et seq.
Alabama has enacted a state-level TCPA that goes beyond federal requirements. Federal compliance alone is not enough for Prerecorded Messages operations here.
Consent Requirements
One-to-One Consent Required
Shared consent from lead generators is NOT valid. Consent must specifically name your company.
Prerecorded calls to cell phones require prior express written consent under federal TCPA. No separate Alabama statute adds to this requirement. Prerecorded calls to landlines require prior express consent (not written) unless the number is on the DNC list.
