Overview

Virginia's Telephone Privacy Protection Act (Va. Code § 59.1-514) maintains a state DNC list and provides private right of action with $500 per violation penalties. AG enforcement available up to $25,000 per violation. Virginia also enacted the VCDPA (Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act) which adds data privacy obligations for companies using consumer data for telemarketing lists.
